Toolshed

In 2020, Sayler / Morris launched Toolshed, a platform for gathering and sharing tools for living ecologically. Our inaugural projects will unfolded at Basilica Hudson a solar-powered, reclaimed 1880s industrial factory on the waterfront of the historic City of Hudson, NY.

Toolshed consists of a tool lending library developed with Timothy Furstnau of Fictilis, a collection of books at a public library called the Ecotopian Collection developed with artist Mary Mattingly, an on-line journal that will become a book, as well as numerous workshops and events.

Contributing artists, activists and writers have included, Sayler/Morris, Timothy Furstnau, Kate Warren, Mary Mattingly, Elie Irons, Super Stories, Kamau Patton, Michael Zuhorski, Imani Jacqueline Brown, Shannon Mattern, Yutaka Sho, Shanekia McIntosh, Josh Cohen. Toolshed has also partnered with numerous organizations in and around Hudson New York, including the Hudson Sloop Club, Spark of Hudson, the Hudson Area Library.
